The purpose of the Project Plan is to inform all interested parties of planned, proposed, and future changes, modifications, and updates in relation to www.christiannehayward.com. Web Host & Domain Name Relocation
www.christiannehayward.com will be relocating to a new hosting service that will better serve our immediate and future needs for the website. Upon review by entrusted parties, the current hosting service Telus, has been deemed inadequate for any current and future needs.
The following website hosting service, www.netfirms.com , has been chosen based upon available services, features, cost and support. Netfirms was established in 1998 and offers its service to over 1.2 Million customers worldwide. Netfirms is a member of the Better Business Bureau Reliability Program and is an ICANN Accredited Registrar.
Domain Name & DNS transfer is provided free of charge. Interruption to service should be minimal and will last no longer than 48 hours from time of transfer.

Website Redesign
Initial designs of www.christiannehayward.com were created with Microsoft Frontpage. In the beginning this was more than sufficient for the website and its needs. However, upon review of the code and features available with the Frontpage program, the website has been deemed obsolete. Contributing factors are as follows but not limited to; Termination of support from Microsoft Corporation, lack of support for advanced scripting languages such as PHP and ASP, inadequate support for advanced databases such as mySQL, and modern web browser compatibility and security.
The website will undergo a complete and total redesign after the Web Host & Domain Name Relocation has been completed. The existing site will remain unaltered and viewable for the duration of this redesign phase(s). Interested parties will be granted access to to view the redesigned website upon request. Feedback and contribution is welcomed.
The Website Redesign phase will take place in the following stages and possible sub stages. Experimental, Alpha, Beta, Release Candidate, and Public Release.
Employee and Volunteer Services
A secondary website will be designed to accommodate the needs of employees and volunteers. This will be a secure group collaboration website to be used for shared documents, tasks, calendars, and much more. This will be held in phases like the Website Redesign, however, this will restricted and not accessible to the public.
Domain Name Change
A domain name change may be warranted to better suit and describe www.christiannehayward.com, the role it plays and the services provided. Input and suggestions will be needed from interested parties.
Additional Services
Including the additions of services may be necessary in the long term future. This may include an online shopping system, community portal, and additional services to the public.
Corporate Presence
Possible creation of a corporate presence may be ideal. This may also include a physical presence along side the existing virtual presence.
